1. Project Overview
Hopenergie is designed to help the user compare electricity tariffs and switch electricity suppliers without expending lots of time and money. More than that, with an easy-to-use format, hopenergie.com helps to avoid the problem area and switch suppliers entirely hassle-free.
2. Project Objective
The general objective in the Hopenergie project was to create a solid electricity provider comparison tool. Rather than relying on an algorithm, consumers put their monthly or yearly electricity consumption, then the data is collected from different providers to generate the most appropriate usage patterns to give the user the best solution possible.
3. Solution Provided
We showed a full-fledged web application that seems to integrate a range of different formulas for estimating the given user’s electricity usage so that the client receives recommendations. It is imperative for our design to delay as much as possible any information demands made to the user.
4. Technology Stack
Symfony 2: For solid back end development.
Yarn: For package management.
Webpack: In order to serve its purpose of module bundling and asset optimization.
5. Challenges Faced
Among them, it was difficult to plan different user-experience scenarios and calculate corresponding electricity consumption indicators. It was important to pay a lot of attention to the accuracy, specifically to guarantee that users continue to trust the applica-tion and are satisfied with working with it.
6. Outcome and Result
After the Hopenergie platform was released, the users expressed that it became far less complex to make estimations of the amount of electric power consumed and compare the possible savings. In return, the solution has enabled the users to have the prowess to self-optimize on their energy utilization hence improved customer satisfaction and satisfaction with the platform.
