1. Project Overview
The fraichecancan I-Lunch Cantine project also aims at creating an application that will deal with food delivery applications in businesses. Using the platform, companies can sign up to manage meal choices specifically for their workforce; it provides easy to use online food ordering.
2. Project Objective
In other words, the main objective was to develop a single platform for delivering food to organisations’ employees and allow the contracted companies to build specific menus for this target audience. This project was designed not only to simplify the ordering process and to improve employees’ satisfaction level with various meal choices available to them.
3. Solution Provided
To meet the client’s requirements, we fraichecancan I-Lunch developed a web application featuring:
User-Friendly Interface: A vibrant and responsive design that enables an effortless ordering of foods.
Tracking System: Status updates for the use of informing users about their orders.
Virtual Fridge Feature: Being one of the options that is differentiated by its concept, users will be able to choose individual items from a virtual refrigerator and pay for them with the costs being cut from their accounts.
4. Technology Stack
Frontend: Deployed usage of Webpack Encore, Yarn and Twig to enhance UX design for the application.
Backend: Built with Symfony 3 with Odoo for stock and RabbitMQ for the asynchronous messaging and transactions.
5. Challenges Faced
Throughout the project, we encountered several challenges, including:
Dynamic Menu Management: Creation of a sound structure of dynamic production menus of products for several registered companies.
Security Measures: Safeguarding the users and their data by providing safe routes of transactions and payment.
Outcome
The implementation of the fraichecancan I-Lunch Cantine platform led to:
Efficient Ordering Process: There is less overreliance with employees on the food ordering since the process can be made very simple.
Fast Delivery: Delivery of meals is also fast since the shortest distance delivery delivery method is adopted.
Enhanced Employee Satisfaction: In this way, employing various meal choices and convenient ordering system, companies stated higher satisfaction among the personnel on the lunch services’ side.
