The current layout of the website was changed to a new one in order to give a more appealing look for Olizon. This included: Minimalistic design with a particular concentration on product advertising. Such choices of color that give a feeling corresponding to the natural product that is olive oil.

Adopt easy to use navigation aids.

Add under the Search bar options such as price, type of oil, etc, depending on the target customer so that it will allow them to find the products they are looking for easily.

Explain what inspired the company’s name Olizon and the company’s dedication to value. Emphasise on issues of sourcing and the value of using olive oil. Build a relationship with the potential customers by calling their attention to the values the brand stands for.

Technical Implementation

WooCommerce Setup: Set up the WooCommerce options limiting modification of products’ inventory, selection of the payment options and shipping services.

Custom Filters: Added end user defined parameters to reduce search results according to the end user’s choice.

Dynamic Pricing: To meet these goals the following changes were made to enable the provision of promotional pricing; addAction: Added discounted prices and bundled prices as separate prices.

Result

Better user experience results in low bounce rates and higher time spent on site which are the main goal for most site’s owners.

Feedbacks from the users with regard to the easy to understand format of the websites’ design and functionality.

The enhancement of product accessibility and customers’ interaction that would lead to higher sales through the internet.

Conclusion

The Olison project did achieve the intended objective of revamping the current website to contain a functional ecommerce base. By using proper design and development strategy the website represents the brand image and at the same time offers the customer a pleasant shopping experience.
