Project Overview
Polus Carp is a versatile application developed for uploading as well as for listening to podcasts and episodes of podcasts. It links features like the popular music and video platforms Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, YouTube, Spotify, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Castos. Podcasts and episodes from these sources can be easily downloaded via the project.

Key Features
User Authentication: A user can register and gain access by signing into the website to view contents special to his account.
Podcast Uploading: Podcast and episode submission are also straightforward to perform as a user.
Episode Retrieval: It matches matrices of Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, YouTube, Spotify, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Castos.
Data Scraping: Polus is Implement selenium for scraping from different platforms for the episodes; Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, YouTube, Spotify, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Castos.
Functionality
Frontend Development:
Created a web user interface with React.js framework to ensure the users can easily access and upload their podcasts to listen to.
Backend Development:
Set up a strong back end due to Symfony, with systems for handling users and podcasts, as well as retrieval.
Web Scraping:
Implemented Selenium-enhanced solution to extract episode details from LinkedIn & others by entering the credentials stored in the database securely.
Challenges Overcome
Data Management: Ensured effective management of user uploaded data and scraped data.
Authentication Security: They also made secure methods for storing and retrieving user credentials.
Cross-Platform Compatibility: Compiled multiple podcast sources and dealt with how each podcast platform organised their format and API.
